Register for either the Saturday, 5:30 pm Service or the 8:30 am, 9:45 am or 11:00 am Services on Sunday morning.

2017-18 Faith Creek Registration

September 9th - September 10th, 2017

$0 - $25

Faith Creek is designed for children 3 years old (by 9/1/2017) through 4th Grade. It meets Saturday, at 5:30 pm and Sunday, at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 am.

Cost is $25 per student (discount for families with 3 or more children.)

As you go through the registration process, you will be able to choose your child's class time.

Share your gifts as volunteers are also needed in Faith Creek.

2017-18 begins a new ministry for 5th grade students called "Follow our Faith". Parents and 5th grade students are invited to the Bridging Meeting on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 10:45 - 12:30 pm, in the Center for Faith & Life.

No cost for 5th Grade Students.

Welcome home our young adults as we celebrate Christmas together with high school youth and SPD college-age adults on December 21st at 6:00-8:00pm in the CFL. Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater and bring a white elephant gift (no cost required- just find something you don't use at home). Prepare for food, fun, and plenty of Christmas themed activities!

Bible Art Journaling Workshop

Join Pastor Mathison for a workshop filled with new techniques to try in your art journal Bible (art journal Bible not required). We will begin with a Bible study, experiment with gesso, watercolor and acrylic paints for backgrounds, then on to stamps, pens, markers and hand-lettering for the next layer, and we will finish with distress ink for edging.

No experience necessary! Cost is $10 for materials.

The Daniel Plan: Getting Healthy is a choice. When you include God in the plan to make healthier choices you can move toward living the kind of lifestyle God intends you to live. Being healthy can impact every area of your life, including your walk with God. The Daniel Plan is designed to keep you engaged in the process so you can see long term results.

Over the next 6 consecutive weeks on Tuesdays; 7pm ) you will gather with friends in small groups to study the Five Essentials of the Daniel Plan: Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus and Friends. We’ll conclude with a session on Living the Healthy Lifestyle, Practical Help on Sustaining the Healthy Changes You’ve Made. Change is a process we will share with the support of God and our friends. Ultimate Lock-In! Middle School Ministry

The Ultimate Lock-in at the Maple Grove Community Center in January is massive fun. Youth from churches all around the area have a great time with:

4th Annual SPD Outdoors Ice Fishing Retreat

Join SPD Outdoors for a time of faith, fellowship, fun and fishing at the 4th Annual SPD Outdoors Ice Fishing Retreat on beautiful Lake of the Woods, January 25-28, 2018.

Located 5 1/2 hours (315 miles) north of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, Lake of the Woods has built a reputation over the years as one of the premier fishing lakes in the country. Pairing scenery, location and a diverse and healthy fishery, the lake boasts trophy-size Walleye, as well as Sauger, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch.

Accommodations will be provided by Wheelers Point Resort and Lodge in Baudette, MN. Wheelers Point is located where the Rainy River enters Lake of the Woods. You will enjoy two full days of fishing in a beautifully designed and very well heated ice house.


Reserve your spot with a $100 non-refundable deposit per person by credit/debit card payment on-line or by submitting cash or check (payable to SPDLC) to Pastor Schmid. Registration is limited to 20 total participants.

Remaining balance due no later than Sunday, January 7, 2018. You are also welcome to pay for the trip in full ($399) at the time of registration.

What: A fun (free!) musical experience with singing, movement and instruments

Who: For Pre-Kindergarten 4 and 5-year olds. (Those children who will attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2018)

Christkon camp montana

2018 Mountain Wilderness Adventure

July 18th - July 28th, 2018

Located in the Rocky Mountains of southern Montana, Christikon Bible Camp lies near the center of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, just north of Yellowstone National Park. The surrounding high county ranges from 9,000 to 11,000 feet.

We will spend 7 days backpacking the mountains in search of friendship, community, and peaks.

Total Cost: $700 (Significant fundraising will be done in the spring to help defray costs)

$50 deposit goes towards your total amount owed and is non-refundable.

No refunds after April 25, and those who wish to cancel after that date will owe the full trip cost.
